PRESIDENT’S LETTER
Dear fellow guild members,
Welcome to our first newsletter of 2024. It’s great to see so many of you in full flight, busily engaged in projects across the country and overseas.
Congratulations are in order for Liz Palmer who has secured funding for the Costume Supervisor Pathway Program via a Screen Australia grant. This is a real win and will have significant benefit to our members and in due course, the industry at large.
The APDG is seeking a new business manager to replace Rebecca. This position is vital to the smooth running of APDG’s daily operations and a key conduit to successful future planning within our fledgling guild. If you know of a suitable candidate, please encourage them to apply via our website.
Once our new business manager has settled in, the APDG will have a planning day to set goals for the near and far future. We encourage all members to attend and have their say about the future of the guild and the broader screen and live performances industries, details coming.
Speaking of planning, a note for your diaries, the 2024 APDG Awards entries open at the end of March. I encourage all of you to submit your work to the awards. We are all keen to see what you’ve been up to and this is a perfect opportunity to show and tell.
Warmest regards,
Michael Scott-Mitchell APDG
