APDG NATIONAL EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS

APDG NATIONAL EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS 2025-2026

Did you know that the Australian Production Design Guild is powered by members involved with the decision making and running of the organisation. Guilds like APDG thrive with active participation from members. Benefits to being on the National Executive, a State Liaison or an Operational role include:

“Building and growing your network”
“Engaging in discourse about your industry’s future”
“Addressing current sector issues proactively”
“Helping advocate for the rights of designers and their associates”
“Actively participating in the strength and growth of APDG”

All members are invited to self nominate or nominate another member who you think would suit and want to do that role.

ABOUT THE ROLES

NATIONAL EXECUTIVE:

The APDG invite APDG members to nominate for a position on the APDG governing body – the National Executive. You can nominate yourself or another person. The National Executive aims to represent our members both nationally and across all industry sectors. Your involvement can help make the National Executive strong, diverse and representative.

We are seeking nominations from all of the areas represented by the guild – from screen, live performance and digital production designers all over Australia: production designers, costume designers and costume supervisors, art directors, set designers, digital production designers, props masters, concept artists, title designers, animators, hair and make-up or prosthetic make-up designers, lighting and video designers – we want you all! Please consider nominating and contributing to governance of your guild.

Joining the National Executive will give you an opportunity to represent your state or industry sector within the APDG. It is important work, but it is not too onerous. All positions are voluntary, and the guild works around Members’ work and other commitments. As a National Executive Member you will:

  • Represent your state or industry sector at the monthly National Executive meetings (10 meetings per year).
  • Communicate with/respond to information requests from APDG members within your state or industry sector.
  • Help to promote the APDG to prospective members within your state or industry sector.
  • Help to organise APDG events in your state or for your industry sector.
  • Write a short individual report for the annual report and contribute to the awards report.

At the AGM all National Executive positions will be declared vacant. We are calling for nominations for the positions below. If you would like to nominate yourself or another APDG member for any of the following positions, please do so by clicking the link below and submitting the details by 4pm (AWST). 6:30pm (ACDT), 7pm (AEST) on Monday 13 October 2025.
