As we close out another action-packed year, the team at Event Engineering is reflecting on the incredible collaborations and feats of engineering that we’ve been part of across film, television, public art, theatre and events in 2024.
This year we wrapped work on the public art programme at Sydney Metro Martin Place and Crows Nest. Event completed design and build for eleven new and heritage artworks in collaboration with artists including Debora Beale, Michaela Dwyer, Suzy Evans and Esther Stewart for the new metro stations. This was a landmark project for us and we had a blast working to bring new life to the city through public art.
The Brisbane APDG awards this year were a highlight for the team. It was such a special night, and a great opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness and innovation that characterises our local industry. It was a pleasure to see everyone there and we were in awe of the way our local talent continues to push the boundaries of creativity in production design!
We’d like to thank all the production teams we worked with throughout the year on a range of productions; Play Dirty, Rising, Tango, NCIS Sydney, The Last King of the Cross, Ten Pound Poms, Playing Gracie Darling and I Know What You Did Last Summer. We are grateful to all the teams we have had the pleasure of collaborating with this year, their dedication, innovation and creativity continue to elevate our industry.
Pushing on to 2025 we are excited by the countless ambitious productions in the pipeline. The constant flow of diverse and unique challenges which these present never fail to amaze. We thrive on creating solutions to bring these creative visions to life and we can safely say that 2025 will continue to challenge us to do what we do best. For now, season’s greetings, and here’s to a fun-filled start to 2025!
